Good boys and girls are invited to join Santa for a fabulous seasonal treat of carols, snow and Christmas cheer on Friday 4 December sponsored by Jenkins Marine.
From 5pm Poole Tourism and it partners will provide a host of seasonal treats for a special Christmas on the Quay with children’s rides, street party, colouring and spot the pirate competitions. Create your own unique gifts with Poole Pottery as paint-a-pot comes to the Welcome Centre and claim your special 10% Christmas discount in the Poole Pottery shop for one night only.
Poole’s Quayside will ring with seasonal carols around the Christmas tree, courtesy of 11th Parkstone Brownies and local Guides and Rainbows, complete with festive snow. Festive food, mulled wine, mince pies and roasted chestnuts will be available as Jolly Sailor and other Quayside bars and restaurants offer a range of seasonal fare with live music and seasonal songs from local act Banned plus music from the Dolphin Marching Band.
Poole Museum will be open for local children to make decorations for the Christmas Tree situated in the atrium. Craft materials will be available from 5pm, so come along and help decorate the tree or make some decorations to take home.

From 6pm Poole’s harbour will light up as a magical Flotilla of Lights as illuminated boats take to the waves to parade alongside Poole Quay, lighting the water with their Christmas lights with prizes and a trophy awarded to the best dressed boat.
Father Christmas will be taking time out of his busy preparations to visit the Quay from 7pm with the first 250 children under 10 years old receiving a bar of chocolate from the great man himself.
Children can also write their letter to Santa and post it in the special post box in Poole Welcome Centre provided by Santa’s helpers at Royal Mail. Anyone wanting a reply from the North Pole should include a First Class stamp on their envelope when posted. Letters can be sent Freepost to Santa at the North Pole.
Rod Jenkins, Jenkins Marine, said: " We are delighted to sponsor Christmas on the Quay which is becoming a popular family event in the run up to the season. Last year’s flotilla was a great event and with even more seasonal cheer, this year should be even better."
The event is supported by Wave 105, the Daily Echo, Jolly Sailor, Lord Nelson, Poole Land Train and Poole Harbour Commissioners.
Bruce Grant Braham, Chairman of the Poole Tourism Partnership, said: "This is a fabulous event which would not happen without the support of our sponsors and partners. And with a host of pubs, bars and restaurants to help parents soak up the Christmas spirit, it’s a real Christmas cracker."
