Holes bay speed cameras though speed cameras are a good idea to have one that goes from 50 to 30 on a road which also has lanes which you must select for the ferry not clearly marked with over head cameras is stupid to say the least. I was picking up my family at 3.30 am 2 weeks ago, knew I had to check which lane i should be in so i didnt get caught in the wrong one. (dont drive poole so often). The stupid ferry boat markings are on the road should be on an overhead board so that from a long distance away you can get in the correct lane, this would then allow you to drive safer and watch out for huge speed changes on a dual carriage way.
I was slowing down for the lights, only doing 42 miles looking for the ferry markings and bobs your uncle got flashed. So yep got caught. Very cheesed off as I hadnt gone over the limit all the way into Poole. However not only do you get flashed you get a double flash which is kind of distracting, defintely not health and safety focused at all as i then was looking at what was going on rather than where i was going.
So i suggest overhead boards for the ferry as well as big signs on it notating the drop from 50 to 30 miles an hour.
