If you’re looking for a martial art that builds confidence, balance, and calm—without aggression—Wellsprings Aikido in Poole offers a welcoming place to begin or continue your journey.
Led by Mark Allcock, Wellsprings Aikido focuses on traditional Aikido training, rooted in discipline, respect, and personal development. Aikido is a Japanese martial art that teaches you how to blend with movement, improve coordination, and develop inner strength, making it suitable for adults of all ages and fitness levels.
What Makes Aikido Different?
Unlike many martial arts, Aikido is non-competitive. The emphasis is on:
Smooth, flowing movements
Self-awareness and control
Personal growth rather than winning
Practising in a supportive, respectful environment
Whether you’re completely new to martial arts or returning after a break, you’ll find the atmosphere friendly and encouraging.
