RingGo Cashless Parking From 1st Sept.

BCP Council are moving to a single provider for cashless parking – RingGo from 1 September.

Other non-app payment methods are not affected by this change.

RingGo will be the only parking app accepted for payments in BCP Council car parks.

All tariffs will include transaction fees, with no additional admin charges.

Cashless parking allows drivers to pay for parking without using physical cash. Typically, this is done through a mobile app, website, or automated phone line, where users register their vehicle and payment information. Once registered, they can initiate and extend parking sessions remotely and pay using their registered payment method. 

1. Registration:

• Mobile App: Download a parking app like PayByPhone or RingGo and register your vehicle's details (license plate number) and payment information (credit or debit card). 

• Website: Register on the provider's website, providing the same information. 

• Automated Phone Line: Call the provided number and follow the prompts to register and add your details. 

2. Paying for Parking: 

• Mobile App: Select the location number (usually displayed on nearby signage), choose the duration, and confirm payment. 

• Website: Similar to the app, select the location, duration, and pay. 

• Automated Phone Line: Call the number and follow the prompts to input the location number, duration, and confirm payment. 

3. Extending Parking: 

• You can often extend your parking session through the same method you used to start it, without needing to return to your vehicle. 

4. Enforcement:

• Parking enforcement officers use handheld devices that can verify if a vehicle has paid for parking through the cashless system.
