Sat 14th Sep 10:00am - Sun 15th 4:00pm
Upton House, Upton Country Park, BH17 7BJ
Take part in England's largest FREE Heritage Festival.
This year Upton House will be open to all for 2 days of exhibitions and tours to tell the story of its connections to Poole and beyond, created by history students from Bournemouth University and costume students from Arts University Bournemouth.
Join us on the 14th and 15th September to explore the ground floor of Upton House, discover the families that have called it home and their links to the local and global community.
The students will guide you through the House and its 200 year history, with stories of its inhabitants and how they were involved in Poole's Newfoundland trade, a very Victorian scandal, and the local community throughout the 20th century.
You can also pre-book a free below-stairs guided tour of the House’s basement level to find out more about the people that kept the place running, or speak to our Research Volunteers who are uncovering more stories with our recent new acquisitions.
The House will be open from 10am-4pm each day, with refreshments available in the Dining Room as well as in the Country Park Tea Rooms.
To book your free space on a below-stairs tour please visit: buytickets.at/uptoncountrypark/1294470
You may need to join the 'Waiting List' if timeslots are full.
